Elucidation Labs — General Cookies Policy
That page explains what cookies are, the four types, and how to refuse or delete them in your browser.
This annex is the part that is specific to this Site: our current, audited position — what mytaxreality.co.uk actually sets and stores on your device, established by testing the live site rather than assumed from a template.
Our current position: mytaxreality.co.uk does not currently set any cookies of any type. We audited the live site directly on 27 August 2026 and confirmed no strictly-necessary, performance, functionality, or targeting/advertising cookies are placed on your device when you visit. The Site does use your browser's session storage for two things, listed in section 2 below — that is not a cookie, it never leaves your device, and your browser clears it when the session ends.
We currently set no cookies of any kind on this Site, and no third party sets one through it either.

A cookie policy that stops at cookies would not tell you the whole truth, so this section covers everything this Site puts on your device. Both entries below use session storage: they are readable only by this Site, are never sent to us with a request the way a cookie would be, and are deleted by your browser when you close the tab or end the session.

Blocking or clearing site data will remove both. Doing so does not stop you using the Site: the calculator still works, you would simply lose your place if you refreshed the page.
Our Site does not currently set any third-party cookies.
We use Google Fonts to display certain typefaces on the Site. This involves your browser contacting Google's servers directly to retrieve font files, which shares your IP address with Google — this does not involve a cookie, but is a data transfer covered in our Privacy Notice annex.
If this position changes — for example, when our payment provider (Stripe) goes live for the purchase of certain reports — we will update this annex accordingly, and section 1 will describe the relevant third-party cookies at that time.
How to refuse, delete or be alerted to cookies in each major browser, and what changing those settings does more generally, is set out in the Elucidation Labs General Cookies Policy. Because this Site sets no cookies, none of those settings will affect how it works for you.
